Put Together: Leave the leggings

Hey friends!

For the first post in the "put together series", I'm going to be giving you my first tip to always look your best without putting in a ton of effort, and that is: leave the leggings for the gym and lazy days! Don't get me wrong, I love me a good pair of leggings, and there are definitely tons of times where they work, but if you want to look like you put in a ton of effort into your outfit without sacrificing the comfort factor, the first thing to do is to put away the leggings and look at the tons of other pants options out there.

My goto's are culottes, cotton pants, and work pants. None of these are jeans, restricting, or boring. Because they're not tight, not only are they extra comfortable (more so than leggings I think), but the silhouette they give elevates an outfit. Personally, I've been seeing that tight things aren't really on trend anymore, instead it's more about oversized and balanced. What's great about these kinds of pants is that if you tuck in a tight tank or a big sweater - it still works! It's the best of both worlds, comfort and style.

Here are a few outfits showing exactly what I mean:

The focal point of this outfit is definetly the pants. If I had worn leggings with this look, which would have worked as well, it would still be cute, but the pants take it up a notch.

And with that, I hope you got some fashion inspiration on how to style different kinds of pants (that are seriously all so comfortable)!

Until next time,
