Styling Secrets: Silk Scarves

On todays edition of styling secrets, I wanted to talk about a couple different ways on how to style silk scarves. This accessory is super trendy right now, but it's been around for ages and can very easily become a staple in your wardrobe. It adds the most elegant and classy touch, and makes you look like you really have it all put together.
The four ways I love styling these scarves are tied around my neck, through the belt loops of jeans, as a waist accent, and as a hair piece. All of these add a different element and you can play around with how much you want the scarf to be the focal point of your outfit or if you just want it to be a simple pop. They are extremely light weight and great to wear all year round. As you'll see I really do love my black and white one, because as a monochrome loving girl it goes with basically everything, but I also do love a pop of color here and there. Here are a few outfits showing exactly what I mean:
This first outfit showcases how to style a silk scarf as just that - a scarf. This creates a super chic vibe, and I chose to keep the rest of my outfit all monochrome in order for the scarf to be the focal point. My sweater is from forever 21, booties are from forever 21, jeans are from 7 for all Mankind, and glasses are from Eye Buy Direct.
This outfit uses the scarf as a hair piece and just adds a fun touch to a simple, casual, sporty outfit. My bomber is from forever 21 and my ring is from Michael Kors.
This next outfit uses the scarf in a more subtle way as I still used it as a belt, but here its not as much of a focal point but just a subtle touch of print. My leather jacket is from Michael Kors, sweater is from Nordstrom Rack, leggings are from Lululemon, and my thigh highs are from Charollete Russe.
This outfit showcases how to add a more colorful scarf into the mix as I used it as a belt with my jeans, which gave the outfit a pop. My jeans are from Topshop, olive green button down is from Nordstrom Rack, shoes are from Steve Madden, and my glasses are from Eye Buy Direct.
